-- Green Day is a American rock trio formed in 1987 by Billie Joe Armstrong [vocals, guitars], Mike Drint [bass guitar, vocals] and Tre Cool [drums, percussion]. The major record label 'Dookie' was a breakout success in 1994. Green Days 2004 rock opera American Idiot reignited the bands popularity with the younger generation. The bands 8th studio album 21st Century Breakdown was released on May 15 2009.
The have won three Grammy Award, Best Alternative Album for Dookie, Best Rock Album for American Idiot and Record of The Year for Boulevard of Broken Dreams.
Green Day's most known songs are American Idiot, Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, 21 Guns, 21st Century Breakdown, Know your Enemy, Wake me up when September ends, jesus of surburbia, She's a Rebel and many more.
They are the modern day U2. They are the same as the Sex Pistols, The Jam and Ramones but much much better..
They're sound are very creative and they have blown many peoples mind away. They are The Best!
